It is the sincerest hopes of George Criser Graf und Freiherr von Bothmer zu Schwegerhoff to develop a means of showing his appreciation for those that do service in the effort to preserve and enhance the growth of the nation of Hungary from which he traces his ancestral heritage.

Those that are awarded the Blue Cross of Saint Stephen will become a part of a prestigious new Order that is specifically designed to honor those that do service to the great people of Hungary.  There will be four divisions of criteria that the awards will be distinguished by:

  • Distinguished Military Service
  • Distinguished Achievement in the Arts & Sciences
  • Distinguished Citizenship to the Country
  • Grand Cross

The Military Service award symbolized by the crossed swords is reserved for those individuals who have distinguished themselves in military action.

The Achievement in the Arts & Sciences award symbolized by the laurel leaves is reserved for those deserving recognition for excellence in the intellectual pursuits of the studies of the Fine Arts and Sciences.

The Citizenship award symbolized by the Crest of Hungary is reserved for those individuals who have  courageously  and honorably proven themselves to be examples of the best that Hungary has to offer.

The Grand Cross symbolized by the historic Crown of St. Stephen is reserved for foreign dignitaries and those already a part of the Order of the Blue Cross that have already shown themselves to be of great service to Hungary.
