The basic goal of this website is to provide documentation of George Criser Graf und Freiherr von Bothmer zu Schwegerhoff's family interest in Hungary and why he should want to establish a Constitutional Monarchy in Hungary.  His wish is to create an open and frank exchange of information concerning his proposals for Hungary.

• Nonpartisan Head of Government

Perhaps one of the most unique and important aspects of a Monarchy is that they do not have any ties to any political party.  They are not funded by any special interest groups nor do they owe their position to the voters or to the support of any special interest group.  A Monarch's role in their government is one of an impartial judge. They can stand above the power of money and that makes them a perfect nonpartisan Head of Government.

 

• Finest Form of Government in the world

It has been proven time and time again that a Constitutional Monarchy is the finest form of Government in the world.   It has stood the test of time through the centuries in many European countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, Spain, Luxembourg, Monaco, Liechtenstein and Sweden. One view as to why modern constitutional monarchies continue to survive is that the individual royal families themselves have remained popular. A Monarch as a non-elected head of state can rule impartially working as a set of checks and balances for the elected government.

 

• To be a servant for the people of Hungary

The Monarch of any Constitutional Monarchy, but in this case of Hungary, is first and foremost a servant of the people.  It is their responsibility to be a representative of Hungary.  The Monarch is here to defend and protect the history of Hungary and to make Hungary through its people, once again a proud and economically viable nation capable of participating on the world scale as a strong member of the EU.  These changes must come through the people by means of a King who is a servant to those people and this country.

• Bring the Hungarian History back to the Hungarian People

The preservation of Hungarian traditions and history is of paramount importance to George Criser Graf und Freiherr von Bothmer zu Schwegerhoff.   His deep connection to his own family history within Hungary inspires and motivates him to make the restoration of Hungarian traditions a part of the modern lives of the people of Hungary.   Without a firm understanding of ones past one can not move forward into the future.

 

• Establish the Order of the Blue Cross of Saint Stephen's - Political Party

The Order of the Blue Cross of Saint Stephen is the Political party established by George Criser Graf und Freiherr von Bothmer zu Schwegerhoff to help place a constitutional monarchy so that the people are given a voice to freely elect a government for the people by the people.  It is also a foundation so that the people can show their support through donations to help reestablish the Monarchy in Hungary.  In addition, the Blue Cross of St. Stephen is an order of Knighthood that George Criser Graf und Freiherr von Bothmer zu Schwegerhoff bestows awards of merit upon deserving individuals in the areas of the military, the arts and sciences, and citizenship to the country.  By establishing this Foundation the Hungarian people can better work towards a free and economically viable country with rich traditions and a strong identity.
